Reminders for Boarders
Boarders are expected to have all basic supplies on hand, including but not limited to: basic medications (e.g. bute, banamine), basic wound and skin care products (e.g. equiderma, antifungal creams and/or shampoo, MTG, antibiotic ointment, vet wrap, thermometer), hoof care products (e.g. hoof pick, thrush treatment, hoof conditioner), and grooming supplies (brushes, shampoo/conditioner).
Boarders with horses in work are expected to have properly fitting tack as well as caring for the horse appropriately. This is determined by each individual horse’s needs and may include but is not limited to saddle fitting, chiro, corrective hoof care, massage, and regular dentals. If you cannot afford to care for your horse on these basic levels, your coached shows and off site events will be paused until you can.
Boarders do not have to lesson or train with EEEA trainers; however, outside trainers are not permitted at Willowdale.
Basic wear and tear is expected. If your horse is destructive (breaking fences, gates, stall doors, etc.) you will be invoiced for the repairs and replacement parts.
